YORUBA Nation: Old Diaspora League Appeal To Yoruba Traditional Rulers, Elites To Bolster Agitation

Yoruba Traditional rulers and all eminent Yoruba sons and daughters home and abroad have been urged to stand firm on the on-going self-determination drive, aimed at creating a virile  Yoruba nation.

In a communique released from Latin America, the old generation of Yoruba Diaspora appealed to the elders to think deep and consider the future of the new generations of Yoruba youths and other generations yet unborn and create a peaceful atmosphere for the emergence of Yoruba Nation where the foundation for a new pride of all black people across the World would be rooted from.

 About 40-nation members of the World league of the movements called “Devotees of the traditions of the Yorùbá millennium, culture, traditions and religion in the diaspora” have called on all the traditional rulers to ensure the emergence of Yoruba Nation as soon as possible as the emergence has been long overdue.

 In a communique signed by over 40 nations where Yoruba are predominantly resident bases where many of the old generation Diasporas reside,  40 signatures of the Diasporans were gathered from across the World and the communique was specifically directed to all Traditional leaders in Yorubaland and many other eminent personalities in Yorubaland among who were  Ọba Enitan Ogunwusi Adeyeye. Ojaja II, Aláàfin of  yo Ọba Lamidi Adeyemi, Owa Ajero  Ijero Ekiti , Ewì Ado Ekiti, Osemawe of Ondo, Kabiyesi Aláké of  Egbá land, Kábiyesi Olówò  of  Owo, Kabiyesi Awujale of Ìjebú Ode, Ọba Ìjebú Igbo, Ọba Akarigbo of Remo land, Olukare Àkókò, Ọba  to Aworiland, Ọba Isheri Olofin, Ọba Adebari of Jeba, Ọba  Onijumu of Ijumu land, Baba Ayo Adebanjo, Pa  Fashoranti, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Are Ibà Gani Adams, Prof Wole Soyinka, Prof Banji Akintoye, Mrs Tokunbo Awolowo Dosunmu, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Only recently, the World league of the movements of “Devotees of the traditions of the Yorùbá millennium, culture, traditions and religion in the diaspora” in a Worldwide collective union warned that unless a concerted effort is made for the immediate emergence of Yoruba Nation, the old culture and tradition of Yoruba race which is celebrated across the World may be a thing of the past because of an impending war being planned by the Fulanis to overrun and carry out ethnic cleansing on the Yoruba people in order to take their land and put it under Fulani occupation.

The body said the emergence of a Yoruba Nation is the only way that the Yorubas can rebuild what the colonial masters have destroyed since 1914 and the only way Yoruba people can surge forward and make progress and emancipate.

According to the body, an emergence of a YORUBA Nation is the only way the potent Yoruba culture would carry out its mission of unifying the black nations and taking back a long-lost pride and dignity of the Yoruba people, as traditions and cultures of the Yoruba race would be made to be relevant and empowering to the black nations of the World.

European countries as initiators and as those supplying war ammunitions with the purpose of capturing and subduing the Yoruba people of Nigeria through ethnic cleansing.

“WE are determined and would ensure the establishment of a dignified Yoruba nation which would resist any recolonization by the Europeans through Fulani empowerment and jihadist missions, hiding under the guise”, a statement revealed to ALAMI contained.
