NYCN Postpones Election, Appoints Amb. Barde as Returning Officer
The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has postponed its Taraba State Chapter election earlier slated between Thursday 29th and Saturday 30th April 2021 to Saturday, May 22nd, 2021.
The National Executive Council has for a rancour-free process and to address all pending issues shifted the Taraba state chapter election from an earlier slated date of Saturday 30th April 2021 to Saturday, May 22nd, 2021. The shift is again predicated on exigencies of council activities.
In collaboration with Taraba State NYCN stakeholder and Zonal executives, the National shall resolve, harmonised and restructured the state electoral committee (ELCO) on Monday, 3rd May 2021. And window shall be open for them to carry out their constitutional functions between 3rd May to 22nd May 2021.
The NYCN President, who also doubles as the Secretary of the association’s Board of Trustees (BoT), Amb. Sukubo has appointed Amb. Abubakar Barde as the returning officer for the Taraba state chapter election.
The action of the President is pursuant to Article 10.6, C1 subsection (viii) of the NYCN constitution 2018 as amended and in the exercise of the powers of the National Executive Council.
In exercise of the above powers, the President has appointed Amb. Abubakar Barde as the returning officer for the Taraba state chapter election.
