SouthWest Muslims No More Under North Control For Festivities Dates As Sultan’s Announced Date Is Rejected As Oppression Signals

According to a tweet emerging from a Yoruba self-determination organization, Pro-Oduduwa Republic group, the forthcoming Sallah celebrations, and other subsequent celebrations the Imam in Yorubaland will decide when to hold it, not any Sultan from the other side of our natural existence..

The Pro-Oduduwa Republic group emerged on a Twitter handle on Monday morning.

The group held that the instructive authorities for when to hold Muslim festivities in Yorubaland would now be the responsibility of Yoruba Islamic leaders who are in tune with the people and not a foreign paramount Ruler from Sokoto Caliphate who leads a terrorist Assemblage.

 Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar is a former Brigadier General turned Sultan. He announced on Monday that  20th July has been set aside for this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival.

By the announcement, Yoruba people, one of the largest ethnicity in Nigeria are finally waking up from the subjective control from the Fulani Emirate. South-west Nigeria harbors Islam as one of its major religious sects and since the emergence of Islamic religion in Nigeria, The Fulani never allowed the Southwest Muslims to lead them in prayer, looking upon them as underdogs and inferior.
