“I COME IN PEACE “- Araba Agbaye Submits , Says Unity Is Important At This Very Moment Of Isese In Nigeria And Worlwide
The spiritual leader, Araba Agbaye , Olu-Isese, Owolabi Awodotun Aworeni , Makoranwale II, has called for unity among the Yoruba traditional worshipers in Nigeria and worldwide
The Olu-isese, who spoke at the Adeyinka Olaiya Channel in Brazil , said “Unity is the key” , he expressed his worries over the constant misinterpretation of Yoruba history by traditionalists , writers and historians .Araba insists that Ile-Ife is the cradle of Yoruba land , so all spiritual applauses and commendations should be accorded to Ile-Ife and no any other place.
His spiritual eminence said the much acclaimed Oke Igeti is in Ile-Ife , not in Ekiti or Osogbo as it is been interpreted recently. According to him , “this argument will only increase disunity which will definitely not help the growth of Isese “ Olu-isese insists that the past is gone and the future is what every Yoruba person should think of right now .
Araba agbaye explained that some places in Yoruba land are still using Oluwo , Olu-Awo , and several other meanings to describe their spiritual leaders , but all are still the same , he said the use of Araba as spiritual leader of Ifa started in Ile-Ife before extending to other part of Yoruba land .
Attending to questions from participants , Araba said he will never bring down the efforts of every traditionalist in Yoruba land , he said they have all helped and contributed too much to uplift Isese than talking of an ordinary donation or mismanagement of funds donated from the Osun state government years back , Araba said he will always applaud the positive parts of these great men than looking for their mistakes “ I come in peace , i want peace and unity “ Araba said
Olu-isese said the Ifa council and Isese councils in Nígeria are almost succeeding in getting holidays from the Ogun state government too , he said the council is also working hard to facilitate pilgrimage in Nígeria “ we will do our very best to facilitate visits from Isese practitioners from all around the world to Nígeria , we shall meet with Nígerian embassies in diaspora to facilitate visas and visits for foreigners who wants to come for pilgrimage in Nígeria “ the leader said
Asked to describe Orunmila , Araba said he his the representative of Orunmila on earth , he also advised traditionalists , writers and historians to stop equating Oba Ajero of Ijero Ekiti to Ooni Of Ife, the spiritual leader said Ajero, Ooni and himself all ascended Oke igeti in Ile-Ife together as one family , he said it is not encouraging to for any traditionalist or Yoruba person to doubt the superiority of the Ooni of Ife who has been spending and elevating the Isese religion since he ascended the throne of his ancestors .
Araba thanked all the Yoruba traditionalists in Nígeria and worldwide , he begged all Isese practitioners to remain one and forget the past , he thanked the program in Brazil and the Brazilian audience “ I will visit Brazil again “ the spiritual father said
