Diaspora Support Group  hails Uzodimma’s commitment to good governance

The Convener of Imo Diaspora Support for Senator Hope Uzodimma, Ochiagha Nnanna Okere has said that the commitment of Governor Hope Uzodimma to good governance, accountability and inclusivity has not only resonated with the people, but fosters a sense of hope and optimism in them.

Okere spoke on Thursday at the Government House Owerri when he was received in audience by the Governor’s Chief Political Adviser and Head of Political Bureau, Chief Barr. Enyinnaya Onuegbu during a courtesy call on the Governor to congratulate him on his re-election.

” Your Excellency, we extend our heartfelt congratulations on your reelection and express our collective optimism for the future of Imo State under your leadership. We believe that, together, we can build a legacy of progress and prosperity that will endure for generations to come. May this second term be marked by even greater achievements and milestones that will elevate Imo State to new heights,” Okere said.

He said he was pleased to assure the Governor that Imo Diaspora Support remains steadfast in it’s commitment to his administration and that the members scattered across the globe are ready and willing to contribute their skills, resources and expertise to the advancement of Imo State.

His words: “Whether it be through investment opportunities, partnership initiatives, or community development projects, we stand ready to collaborate with your team to bring about positive change.”

He added, “As we stand at the cusp of your second term as the Governor of Imo State, we wish to express our unwavering support and commitment to working hand in hand with your administration… We understand the challenges ahead, and we believe that with your visionary leadership, Imo State will reach even greater heights.”

Responding, Onuegbu told the Convener that Governor Uzodimma’s giant strides in the past four years were instrumental to the massive support he got during the recent governorship election when all the 27 local government areas in Imo State voted for his re-election.

He said the Governor has a lot of regards for the Diasporan Imolites and duly incorporated them in his administration, noting that he will still work with them in his second term in office.

He thanked Ochiagha Okere for his unwavering support these past years and urged him not to relent in his support for the Governor and his administration in the coming years in the interest of Imo State.
