Ase-Isese : African Cultural Center Celebrates Santos FC 1969 legends , Edu , Pepe , Others In honored

The African Cultural Center , this Thursday , December 1 , 2022 rejoiced with the 1969 Santos FC legends , the center walked the legends to the hall of fame in African history .

In a mega celebration of awards realized in the interior of Legislative house in Saopaulo, Brazil . The legends who are mostly in their 80s were honored in grand style by multitudes who gathered in Saopaulo to recognize their impacts in stopping warring factions in Nígeria .

The awards handed over to the legends by Oba (Ogboni) Adekunle Aderonmu , the president of the African Cultural Center , stands as a recognition to the courage demonstrated by the 1969 Santos squad who despite the warring conditions in Nígeria, still played a football match to halt the Biafra war for 24 hrs

According to Oba Aderonmu , “ the society deserves peace and tranquility, this is one of the importance of African cultural Center , the Santos FC 1969 squad used soccer to bring peace and harmony in Nígeria . I am happy for them “- The Ogboni King said .

The award ceremony created to honor important dignitaries in significant areas of service to humanity also honored the staff and supporters of Santos FC at the event . It celebrated the people of importance in the combat against social and racial discrimination.

According to Legend Edu who played along King Pele in Santos and was also in Nígeria friendly match “ It is like a dream returning to the field in Ogbemudia stadium where I scored the only goal of the match that stopped war in Nígeria.
