Brazil : Lula Signs National Orisa Day, Returns Orisa Designs To Pres. Villa

The President of Brazil , Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva , this week , signed into law , the National Day for Orisa Religion in Brazil .

The Executive President , this Thursday 5th, January , signed the bill pending on the table of former rightist leader , Ex President Jair Bolsonaro .

The bill no PLC 69/2018, which establishes the National Day for Traditional Religions In Brazil “ Candomblé “ includes every 21st March as National Isese Day in Brazil

The bill published in the National Official Gazette , this Friday 6th was also signed by the Ministers of Culture, Margareth Menezes, and of Racial Equality, Anielle Franco. “ This will further improve religious tolerance in Brazil “ Says President Lula

The African traditional Religion is fast growing in Brazil , the Candomble, Umbanda and other religions of African Origin .

According to the National Secretariat of Human Rights of the Ministry of Women, Family, and Human Rights , Religious intolerance is still a serious problem in the country .

The national human rights hotline received 410 reports of religious intolerance in 2022 , compared with 506 in 2020/21
