Gov Nwifuru directs immediate construction of Iziogo,- Ndiokeda- Onueyim Road

In line with his People’s Charter of Needs philosophy anchored on infrastructural rebirth and human capital development, Governor Francis Nwifuru on Saturday directed the immediate construction of over  55kilomiter Iziogo, Igweledoha, Ndiokeda, and Onuenyim Roads in the Izzi LGA, Ebonyi State.

Governor Nwifuru gave the directive on Saturday during the child naming ceremony of his namesake, little Master Francis Nwifuru jnr, son, of the All Progressives Congress, APC Secretary, Charles Ofoke, in Ndiokeda, in Izzi LGA.

The Governor described the celebrant, Ofoke as “a man who played a role in the political journey of his administration.

“I thank Charles Ofoke for the sacrifices made. I am very much delighted to be here to celebrate with him.

“Charles has been with us for a long time and that was why at God’s appointment, he is remembered. “Today, we are celebrating with him. I thank him for naming a son after me, the Governor said.

The State Chief Executive lauded the Ndiokeda community for their steadfastness and support for the APC.

While informing guests at the ceremony what informed his decision to immortalise the Governor, Ofoke expressed gratitude to Governor Nwifuru on whose shoulder he rose to socio -economic visibility.

“I thank you for picking me . I have nothing, but you made me who I am today.

“After remembering all you did for me, I said to myself, that the name “Francis” will never depart from me and my family”, and that is why I named my son after him.

The event was  graced by top government functionaries including, the Deputy Governor, Princess Patricia Onyemachi Obila, Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa  among others
