Lagos University Partners African Cultural Center In Brazil , Projects Afro-Brazilian Studies,

The Center for Afro Brazilian studies , Lagos State University , Nígeria , on Friday 25th of November, 2022 , signed an accord with the African Cultural Center in Brazil .

The patnership , according to Prof. Tayo Ajayi , a linguist coordinating the department considered first of its kind in Africa , the Center for Afro-Brazilian studies ( LASU) , explains the importance of the partnership , he said it will further boost the intercultural exchange between the University and African cultural Center . “ It will also improve the relations between Nígeria and Brazil “ Prof Tayo Ajayi thanked the supports from the Brazilian embassy in Lagos .

The academic team appreciates Dr. Francisco Luiz , the Brazil Consul to Lagos , the team eulogized the Vice Chancellor of the University ( LASU) for his exceptional support

Prof. Harrison Adeniyi , the head of Yoruba department in the University applauds the interests of the Brazilian people in learning the language of their ancestors “ It is interesting that the Brazilians are also learning every thing that surrounds the language , they learn the culture and tradition of the Yoruba people too . I am impressed “ The Professor of Yoruba said .

Attending to Ancestral News , Oba ( Ogboni) Adekunle Aderonmu , president of the African cultural Center , said the Cultural Center is really happy with the partnership . Aderonmu thanked the University for depositing such a trust in him and the center , he promised to contribute his maximum support to the center for Afro-Brazilian studies , LASU.

Ass. Prof. Ahmed Adesanya and Ass. Professor Henry Hujon of the same University accompanied the session ,they applauded the disposition of the African cultural center supporting the University.

The Lagos State University ( LASU) , also signed accords with the Federal University Of Bahia ( UFBA) , Federal University Of Rio de Janeiro ( UFRJ) , Federal University Of Fluminense ( UFF ) , Brazil
