Nigeria, Now A Disputed Entity, Statesmen Warn International Community Against Loans And Other Borrowing
“For the avoidance of doubt, the Indigenous Nations will not, and cannot be expected to repay such loans or allow their assets to be used as collateral to offset the loans.”, the Leaders warned.
All financial institutions and International money lenders obsessed with the business of lending money to the Nigerian Government have been warned to stop doing so by notable Nigerian statesmen sensitizing them they have been doing at their own risks.
The warning came last weekend in a statement signed by a group of elder statesmen representing the Nigerian Indigenous Nationalities Alliance for Self-Determination (NINAS).
The elders held that after the last Constitutional Force Majure which rendered the nation’s legality in question, any business transaction done runs at the risk of those involved.
Among the signatories to a signed document warning all international financial institutions are Chief Banji Akintoye, former Vice president Ebitu Ukiwe, governor Jang, Chief Nwodo, Turaki and 123 other NINAS’s CFM Signatories.
The signed document warns the World Bank, IMF, UN, EU, China, France, US, UK, and other unknown nations doing business with Nigeria that the nation’s existence is currently in dispute.
The group is holding that currently, Nigeria, as a geographical expression is a disputed project with questionable sovereignty.
The notable statesmen and leaders of thought on Sunday warned the International Community against borrowing the Nigerian Government loans, stating that “Nigeria is now a country with questionable Sovereignty”.
The Nigerians, numbering 129, were signatories to the Constitutional Force Majure (CFM) declared on December 16th, 2020 declaring the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as illegally foisted on the people and a tool for enslavement of the generality of the people.
Notable among the leaders are former Military Vice-President of Nigeria, Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe (Rtd), former Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang, Renowned Historian and Second Republic Member of the Senate, Banji Akintoye; former President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo; respected Varsity Don, Prof. Yusuf Turaki and 124 others.
In the four paragraphs statement, the Nigerians warned the World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), United Nations, African Union, European Union, United States, French, Chinese and British Governments to cease lending loans to the Nigerian Government, stressing that borrowing a “disputed project” loan can only be considered an act of negligence.
The statement, made available to News Men on Sunday by the Chairman of the Steering Committee of NINAS, Otunba Folashade Olukoya, on behalf of the NINAS Secretariat, reads “News reaching the Nigerian Indigenous Nationalities Alliance for Self-Determination, (NINAS) says that the Nigerian government has taken on further loans.
“Again, we remind the International Community that Nigeria is now a disputed project. This was articulated in our Press Conference of 16 December 2020, when we declared a Constitutional Force Majeure.
“Subsequent activities as articulated at Press Conferences of 17 March 2021, and 17 April 2021 emphasise that Nigeria remains a disputed project. Knowing this and lending to a disputed project can only be considered negligence.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the Indigenous Nations will not, and cannot be expected to repay such loans or allow their assets to be used as collateral to offset the loans.”, the Leaders warned.
