Public Servants must scale through on-going CBT before they can be confirmed – Yemi-Esan

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, has reiterated that Public Servants must scale through the on-going Computer Based Test (CBT) Confirmation and Promotion (COMPRO) Examination being conducted by the Office before they can be confirmed in the public service.
Dr. Yemi Esan, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Career Management Office, Office of the Head of Service of the Federation (OHCSF), Dr. Marcus Ogunbiyi stated this while addressing the media on a tour round the 2023 CBT COMPRO examination within the eight (8) designated centers across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 in Abuja.
She emphasised that the CBT examination is part of digitalization drive of the OHCSF, which is aimed at improving service delivery to the citizenry.
According to her, the paperless COMPRO Examination is meant to test the knowledge of officers on the rudiments of Service and how well they will be able to cope with official engagements and tasks, as Public Servants in the overall interest of the country.
The HoCSF applauded the level of comportment and commitment witnessed at the examination centers visited within the FCT. She also acknowledged improvement on computer usage by various candidates, which was a plus compared to that of the previous year.
Addressing journalists at the end of the tour round the CBT centers, the HoCSF reiterated that the exercise was the third in the series of CBT COMPRO Examination since 2022 in the Federal Public Service. She promised that the Office will continue to build and enrich capacity of candidates so that they will improve and become effective in the use of computer.
The 2023 Compulsory Confirmation and Promotion Examination exercise for senior officers in the public service featured 22,351 candidates across the country with 59 centres, the Federal Capital Territory had a total number of 3,974 candidates in eight (8) Centers.
