Second batch of OgunTEACh Interns get letters of employment

In response to the directive issued by Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, regarding the releases of letters of  appointment to 1000 interns through the Ogun Teaching Experience Acquisition Channel (OgunTEACh), the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) gave letters of appointment to the second batch of Ogunteach Interns.

Executive Chairman, Ogun SUBEB Dr. Femi Majekodunmi, made this known in Abeokuta during the symbolic presentation ceremony, emphasizing that the initiative aims to address the pupil-teacher ratio and fill the existing vacancies in public primary schools across the state.

Expressing gratitude to Governor Dapo Abiodun for his commitment to fulfilling promises, Dr. Majekodunmi highlighted the remarkable progress witnessed in the state’s basic education sector, with optimism for further advancements under the governor’s leadership.

He underscored the significance of the appointment exercise, particularly targeting interns who have served for two years under the Ogun Teach scheme. He however, urged them to exhibit diligence, respect, and willingness to learn from senior colleagues while adhering to the ethics of the teaching profession.

Encouraging the newly employed teachers to continually seek  opportunities for skill and knowledge enhancement, Dr. Majekodunmi stressed the importance of their contribution to the ongoing development of basic education in Ogun State.

He charged them not to derail in their pursuit of learning and improvement, emphasizing the pivotal role played in shaping the future of the education sector in the state.

In their responses , Mr. Yusuf Muritala Adewale and Mrs. Morohunfolu Folakemi, speaking on behalf of other beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to Governor Abiodun for honoring his commitments.

They pledged their utmost dedication to contributing to the growth and improvement of the education sector, affirming their readiness to fulfill their responsibilities as newly appointed teachers in the state
