It is being confirmed that a number of people may have been arrested in the home of Chief Sunday Igboho which has been besieged by men from the Nigeria Military. It is however not yet ascertained if there has been any casualty as the house has been under severe military attack for over three hours now.
The Nigeria Military personnel have once again laid siege on Sunday residential quarters in Ibadan putting the home of the leader Yoruba freedom seeker in a heavy military attack. According to sources, the heavily armed military men arrived at the home of the Igboho-born man and surrounded the building, and started to shoot directly into the building. The gunshot it was said may have torn the gates down giving the military men access to the building. It is being rumored that a number of people resident in the building may have been arrested
Unconfirmed sources claimed they arrived in the area at about 02:00 AM this Thursday, July 1, 2021, and started shooting sporadically at the building, and later gained entrance. It has not been established if there is any casualty or ascertained the extent of the damage done to the building.
Sources said Igboho was not in the house but the life of his guests and other youths inhabiting the house are already in serious danger. Among those in the house is Europe-based agitating presenter, Lady K Ifeoluwa who has been on visits to his home as a guest. Her life and the life of others in the building is said to be in serious danger. At about 02:00 AM, LadyK Ifeoluwa sent an SOS to the Media presenters’ group informing them of the danger she was in, as gunshots were being directed into the building. Many uniformed soldiers are also ambushing in the vicinity and keeping watch on their colleagues besieging the building.
Sunday Igboho’s home was attacked late in April. He was however said to have escaped unhurt during the attack as his residence at Soka, Ibadan, in Oyo State, was attacked in the early hours of 26th of April.
