The Stakeholders meeting between President Bola Tinubu, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, and Former Governor Peter Odili of Rivers and Other Stakeholders has ended with some resolutions.

The Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has agreed to withdraw all court cases instituted by him and his team against the members of the State House of Assembly who defected to the All Progressives Congress  will be withdrawn immediately.

The State House of Assembly is also to stop all impeachment proceedings against the Governor Fubara.

The meeting also agreed to recognise the leadership of the State House of Assembly as constituted under the leadership of Amaewhule and the 27 defected lawmakers.

The disagreement between Governor Fubara and Wike had polarized the state House of Assembly leading to the emergence of factional leadership.

The G27 faction of the Rivers State House of Assembly, led by Amaewhule, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the state government on Sunday disagreed over the vacancy of seats in the House.

While Amaewhule said their seats are not vacant, because their defection from the PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC, was constitutional and due to the crisis rocking the PDP in the state, the Rivers State government and the PDP disagreed.
