VISIT CANEX WKND VISIT AFRICA”S NEW ECONOMY…

Not all African countries are endowed with valuable natural resources, the types that command global relevance like oil, lithium, or gold. But all of them have something creative that influences the new economic order. The creative African economy has become a new nexus that can railroad the world to Africa in search of activities that are nature-induced and have become creative talents for a huge population of Africans. The creative African Nexus(CANEX)would soon become a sector of the Economy of every country which GDP must become an important area of productivity that determines the health of any African nation, and whose value chain would also usher as much hope as would be drivable from oil and gas or the various products from mining.
The about four years of continuous interest in expanding the relevance of the creative industry seems to have reached a pitch where investors all over the world would be making a decision between choices in lithium and the African Film industry or the numerous African foods and its raw materials and oil and gas. Much as oil and gas or the other old industries are replete with growing trend of choices and options, products under the CANEX family are deeply natural and engrossed in incurable talents that would remain largely African.
As a matter of fact, the African Creative Market is gradually building up in such a way that creative products and services with strong Aftican character and innovation would have homes in the various identifiable countries where CANEX experts reside and these places can command their own trades that will be considered the totality of the African and global enterprise where huge trade volume has already been considered as enormous.
However. the CANEX TRADING FLOOR opens November 5 at the exquisite Wole Soyinka Centre in Lagos, exactly at the space and point where African and Carreabian icons like Ipitombi, Still Bands of Trinidad and Tobago and individual creativities of Cameroon’s Manny Dibango, Ghana’s Osibisa and South Africa’s Miriam Makeba opened a floodgate of interests in African music, some 50 years ago. TodayCANEX is creating better opportunities for better trade by providing modern platforms for modern creative enterprise.
For four days, Afreximbank’s CANEX WKND will convert the centre into Africa’s first full scale Creative Exchange Market, a live bourse where cultural Investment Products (IP) are traded and capitalised, before a crowd of over 10,000 delegates from across African and the Diaspora.
Obviously one of the legends in the bouquet of subsidiaries in the Intra-African Trade Initiative, CANEX is already flowing like waters, where the various brands in the program shine like 1000 stars, building a possible opportunity for deals that would double the already existing record earned from the four IATF outings so far. The others are PAPSS and CARICOM, which have continued to assume the kind of business and investment clout CANEX has already been creating, as well as producing new Franchise in the Africam market.
By the time the program ends on Sunday, the Nigerian Investment market would be looking at an expanded opportunity for more trade in the CANEX region when the IATF comes up in Lagos , in the next one year. By then, indications must emerge to tell the volume of investments that would be driven by CANEX across Africa.
The setting started to create a picture of new economic opportunities since the deluge of advertisements and promotions from Afreximbank’s Communications and Events stable focused their klieglight on CANEX WKND.
Already, it is as if Chrismas is getting started in Lagos. Lagos is already good for investment outings; first Dangote Refinery and now CANEX WEEKEND!!
